180 minutes

The ticking of a clock—once a shared symbol of time—has gradually faded from our world as clocks have become digital or nearly silent. This project preserves this “lost sound” through an archive of 180 recordings of ticking clocks, gathered from online sources and personal collections. Every minute, a different recording plays softly, making the passage of time audible throughout the exhibition’s three-hour daily duration.
